Managing Director and founder
JP Agrawal is a Managing Director and Founder of DVAL. JP has over 20 years of experience in financial markets and corporate finance, of which he spent over 15 years in derivatives structuring and marketing with several large international banks.
Prior to founding DVAL, JP headed Financial Markets Sales and Solutions Group for Lloyds Bank in London covering corporations, banks and investing institutions in the Middle East region. Previously, he headed the Structured Solutions group of Standard Chartered Bank for Europe, Americas and Africa covering all asset classes. JP also worked with ABN AMRO in London and ING in Amsterdam within Derivatives Sales & Solutions groups covering U.K., Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and other emerging markets. He also briefly worked for HSBC, focusing on cross asset class structured products for private banking clients. Prior to beginning his career in financial markets sales and solutions, JP worked in Mumbai in Project Finance and M&A.
JP has a Master in International Finance (MIF) from University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands and a Master in Technology (M. Tech) in Industrial Management from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai, India.
Charles has over 30 years of experience in structured and project finance having been having been involved in the development of the global public private partnership (PPP) market since the early 1990s.
He started his career with Kleinwort Benson where he was a Director in their PFI Advisory Team. From there he moved to BNP Paribas where he held roles as head of Public Private Finance and Project Bond Finance before moving to Arup to develop their PPP and Infrastructure Finance Transaction Advice practice. More recently he was a Director of the UK Green Investment Bank with responsibility for Energy Efficiency investment.
Charles holds a MA from Cambridge University.
Dimitrios has 14 years of derivative capital markets experience including, structuring, pricing and modelling ALM solutions across rates, inflation, FX, equities, property and credit.
He is the founder or Ameru Financial Limited (www.amerufin.com). Dimitrios specialises in quantitative financial analysis and helps clients make informed financial decisions, primarily in the insurance and pension space. Dimitrios currently is also advising Just Retirement on Solvency 2 risk modelling. Previously he was a director at Standard Chartered Bank (structuring group), a vice president at Citi (insurance and pensions structured solutions group), an associate at BNP Paribas (financial institutions group) and a consultant at Towers Watson (life practice).
Dimitrios holds a PhD in Quantitative Finance (Manchester Business School).
Jas has over 16 years of sell-side experience gained in top tier global investment banks.
Jas spent 5 years as a Senior Institutional Equity Derivative Marketer at RBS where he specialised in the sales and marketing of structured derivative solutions and products based on multiple asset classes and headed client coverage teams during this time. These covered a range of different client types such as financial institutions and retail and a range of different regions such as UK, Ireland and Northern Europe.
Prior to RBS Jaspreet worked at UBS Investment Bank for 10 years in a number of different roles. He headed UK sales for Risk Management Products within the Equities division for 5 years. His previous role to this was as a Derivative Strategist and he was rated number 1 and 3 by Thomson Reuters / Extel. Within this role Jaspreet created Flow Watch which earned him the UBS Cross Selling Prize. He originally started his banking career in Valuation Risk Control and Management where he priced trades and designed risk policy for the bank for vanilla and complex / structured transactions across equity and rates.
Jas qualified as an ACA chartered accountant with KPMG specialising in Banking and Finance. He also holds a Masters in Engineering in Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology (M.Eng.(ACGI)) obtained from Imperial College, London.
Hedge Accounting Adviser
Saket specialises in matters relating to accounting for financial instruments, including derivatives and hedging. He has over 15 years of experience and has previously worked with Lloyds Banking Group (Structured Transaction Group Finance/Group Corporate Treasury), TSB Bank (Hedge Accounting/Treasury), Ernst & Young (Business Risk Services) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (External Audit).
Saket is founder and director of Square Mile Global Consulting Limited (www.smglobal.co.uk), a specialist financial training and consulting company. He has designed and facilitated courses for delegates from over 30 countries in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia. These courses relate to Financial Reporting and Analysis (IFRS/IPSAS), Financial Instruments, Corporate Finance and CFA® exam preparatory courses. Saket has written material on IFRS for financial instruments for a global accountancy body based out of UK. He was invited by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board® (IAASB®) to present on IFRS 9 at their board meeting in New York.
Saket is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, holds IFRS certificate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and IPSAS certificate from the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA). He is a CFA® charterholder.
